Tuesday, another day of
visiting interesting places is ahead of us again. Here La Citadelle rises above
the St. Lawrence River as we view it from the ferry crossing the river.
One of our stops is Notre Dame of
Quebec in the center of Old Quebec City, it's really beautiful as you can
see here on the right.
Gaston Guay's daughter Marguerite Guay married Paul Levasseur. He became
Nouvelle France's famed artist. At the left is some of his ornate
carved woodwork at the Ursulin Chapel.
Artists set up on the streets in the center of Old Quebec. Here Dan and Tim have
observe a young girl sitting for her picture.
We took a ride north of Quebec to the Huron-Wendat Nation's
museum where they had a large replica of a native village and their works of
art.
Dan & Tim stand beside a tree trunk carved as a type of
totem pole. There were many different carvings and the gift shop had hand
crafted jewelry with silver and colorful stones and decorated pottery.
After we finished here we walked a bit in a park in Quebec then retired
for the day.
