Up

In September 1901, my Great -Great Grandfather Jacob Guay died at age 74 while lost in the woods near Stafford Pond, near the Eagleville Mill in Tiverton, RI. It is thought he fell from a ledge and hit his head on rocks between two large boulders. There was a search party for many days but he was not found until nearly a month later when his son Francois Xavier Guay was hunting in the area with two friends and discovered his body. The articles below were sent to me by Rita Beaumier of Swansea, MA.
