In September
1901, my Great -Great Grandfather Jacob Guay died at age 74 while lost in the
woods near Stafford Pond, near the Eagleville Mill in Tiverton, RI. It is
thought he fell from a ledge and hit his head on rocks between two large
boulders. There was a search party for many days but he was not found until
nearly a month later when his son Francois Xavier Guay was hunting in the area
with two friends and discovered his body. The articles below were sent to me by
